Adventuring Through Downtown Mesa
This session with the Clanceys was such a delight.
Downtown sessions are perfect locations year-round.
If you know me, you know I love any kind of festive photo shoot, especially in Downtown Mesa, Arizona. This session with the Clancey family did not disappoint! Not only were they dressed in fun Christmas colors, but they were so wonderful to work with. We had a great time!
This was a rewarding session because Jennifer and Dave hadn’t taken photos with their kids, Jocie and Harry since they were little! I always feel honored to be the one to take updated family photos for my clients, especially when it’s been such a long time since their last shoot.
The whole Clancey family was so happy to be together having their photos taken. It’s not every day that every member is on the same page about family photos, so it made my job very fun. I love it when I can show up and just have a good time with my clients!
We decided to take the Clancey’s family photos in downtown Mesa, where they are from. Downtown shoots are some of my favorites, and this session was no exception. There is such a fun, relaxed, cool vibe in downtown areas that can’t be replicated. It really makes the whole photo experience feel like a movie set. The Clancey’s are a chill family who loosened up quickly in the fun downtown environment.
The white brick wall where we took the majority of the Clancey’s photos was the perfect backdrop for their colorful outfits, but there were so many great areas to choose from. We also utilized the gorgeous Christmas set that downtown Mesa puts up every year. We got some great portraits of Jennifer and Dave, as well as individuals of their kids.
The lighting and weather could not have been more ideal. It was a cool Arizona evening, which meant that their light layers were perfect choices. We met on a weekday evening, so thankfully crowds weren’t an issue at all!
I had such a fun time being with the Clancey Family, and hope to work with them again in the future!
