Arizona has so many stunning outdoor locations for photography, but the biggest hangup for shooting outside is the scorching summer heat. If you’ve ever been here during the summer or know someone who lives here, you’ve heard how unbearable the weather it can be. But hot temperatures don’t mean that you can’t have beautiful summer photos!
Without a doubt, renting a photography studio is the way to go for photography sessions between the months of May and August. A studio will provide a comfortable, climate-controlled environment where you can relax and take beautiful photos, without dying in the heat.
The Gilbert area offers a variety of top-notch studios that I love to work in and recommend to clients. In this blog post, I’d like to point out three of my favorite photography studios in this area. Let’s get started!
The Barn Studio
This stunning indoor studio is a hidden gem for families, photographers, and all kinds of creatives. It is full of natural light that filters through gorgeous windows across the space. It is well-designed – both indoor and outdoor spaces are great backdrops for photos. Another great benefit is that it has a private restroom, touch-up room, and office.
I have done several sessions in the Barn Studio, and I love any chance I have to get back there! It really is a beautiful space – the kind of location that makes you feel supported, inspired, and free to be creative. It’s great for branding headshots, as well as large and small families.
Letty Lume Studio
When it comes to versatile and beautiful photography studios in Gilbert, Letty Lume is among the best. It was founded by a fellow photographer named Jasmine, who named the location after her late mother. Isn’t that so touching? You can rent this space for classes, workshops, retreats, business meetings, and celebrations.
One thing I love about this space specifically is that it comes with so many props and tools to make your experience easier. When taking photos here, you can find a variety of backdrops, lighting equipment, fabrics, C-stands, and furniture. The walls are lined with 12 beautiful windows, meaning you can enjoy full natural light all day long.
Beloved Studios
One of my absolute favorite indoor photography locations in this area is the Beloved Studios. It’s right on the edge of Gilbert and Mesa, but it is so worth the drive. It has five rooms set up to fill different purposes: including the Lifestyle Loft, Creative Room, Backdrop Room, Moody Room, and Nursery. Each space is filled with furnishings and decor to make you feel like you’re right at home. It’s the ideal spot for any kind of photo – portraits, newborns, families, and seasonal creative projects.
The Beloved Studios also offer both natural and artificial light, so regardless of the weather, you can get the perfect lighting for your photos. The amenities (private dressing room, lounge, bathroom, and kitchenette) make it a great spot for community gatherings, workshops, or networking events. It’s the kind of place where you can do it all!
