2023 Wrapped Up | Arizona Family Photos
Reflecting on the joy of this year
2023 has been a year of memorable sessions, happy memories, and momentous occasions for both my clients and my own family.
I’m so thankful for this past year and can’t wait for the upcoming one!
Now that 2023 has come to a close, it’s been so fun for me to be able to look back at the year in Arizona and all the wonderful clients I have had the privilege of working with. I’ve said it a million times, but I truly have the best clients– many of whom have become good friends. These last 12 months here in Gilbert, Arizona have been another remarkable year full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
From the chill of January to the heat of August and the golden glow of October, I have enjoyed every photo session I’ve worked on. This time of year always makes me feel so sentimental and grateful for my job and the families who trust me with their photos.
One of the most rewarding parts of being a family photographer is celebrating the unique stories and backgrounds of each of my clients. From multigenerational families to newlywed couples and parents just welcoming their first baby, I love capturing the genuine love and excitement of the wonderful mix of families in this area.
Now that I’m fully on a walk down memory lane, I’d love to share some highlights of my year. I was able to shoot so many beautiful sessions in 2023! I’ve compiled some of my favorite sessions that I think really encapsulate all the joy and diversity that Arizona has to offer.
Springtime Sessions
I started out the year with some festive Valentine's Day mini-sessions. We shot these in the SpaceOne2One Studio in Mesa. They were so fun! I loved seeing all the little families and kiddos dressed up in red and pink for the occasion. Spring in Gilbert is a photographer’s dream– between the weather and the blooming foliage, it’s a perfect time of year for senior photos and family pictures.
Our family finished off the spring season by welcoming a new baby into the world. Our sweet baby girl Saige has been such a joy in our lives! She is the caboose of our family and has been so fun. I love taking photos for my client’s families, but there is something so special about capturing memories for us to hold onto.
Summer Adventures
As spring warmed into summer, my sessions were filled with bright colors and the warmth of Arizona heat. One day that really tied together everything I love about summertime was a sun-kissed wedding day at the Gilbert LDS Temple. Those photos are filled with love and joy, accompanied by stunning green landscaping. It was such a dreamy day!
Fall Memories
During the rich, colorful, months of autumn, I was lucky enough to fill my schedule with lots of family sessions. We transitioned to taking photos in the charming wetlands around Gilbert, with beautiful backdrops of lush greens and red rock mountains. The genuine smiles and carefree moments during these sessions are some that I will remember forever.
Winter Festivities
At the close of the year, my December sessions featured families of all sizes. I love capturing the magic of this time of year that is reflected in my client's excitement, whether it’s a holiday-themed session or an extended family get-together. I also spent lots of time with my own family celebrating the festivities of Christmas and New Year.
Every photograph that I’ve taken this year tells a unique story and is a peek into the extraordinary lives of each family and couple. I am so grateful for the families who have trusted me to capture those memories and preserve those stories.
