The Helftert Family was a dream!
I am so excited to share this beautiful session with the Helfert family at Papago Park in Phoenix Arizona! This was just an all-around perfect session: the location was stunning, the clients were gracious and fun, and the lighting was perfect. I really couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better family to share it with.
It was so fun to work with the Helfert Family. Their kids ranged from 12 to 5, and they were all very cute and happy during our photos. It’s tough to sit still for photos, no matter your age, so we prioritized movement and genuine interactions over styled poses. The Helferts have 3 girls and 1 boy, and it was so sweet to see their relationships, especially between father and son.
The Helferts are from Chicago and were in Gilbert on their spring break. Arizona is so gorgeous this time of year, so it’s a perfect destination spot for vacationing and family photos. I always love it when clients choose to spend some of their precious family time taking pictures. In my opinion, there’s no better way to memorialize a family trip than to end it with a photo session!
This sweet family wanted to take their photos in a place that was significant to them, and I am so happy that Arizona is their happy place so they wanted to come here. Their main goals for their session included a simple and fun session somewhere that captured all the beauty that this beautiful state has to offer.
We took the Helferts photos at Hole in the Rock, a beautiful nature park outside of Tempe, Arizona. It is a popular location for activities as well as photos, so it was pretty busy this time of year. The parking lot was pretty hectic, but it was well worth it for the views we captured.
Everything about this session was pretty ideal in my book. The Helferts were friendly, easy to work with, and showed up with beautifully coordinated outfits. The location was absolute perfection– Hole in the Rock never disappoints. I loved this session, and I love how the images turned out! Ready to book your session?
