February is in full swing, and I have had the best time celebrating the season of love this year in Mesa, Arizona. I’m a big believer that it’s important to create traditions for every holiday, including the small ones. This is especially true if you have little ones at home. Even simple celebrations are exciting with kids! One of my favorite parts of this time of year is the kid-friendly Valentine’s sessions I do in the SpaceOne2One studio.
I love working with kids and families any time of the year, but there is something so fun about adding seasonal decorations to the studio that takes everything to another level. I have loved capturing so many precious moments through these sessions! In this blog post, I’d love to walk you through an outline of what the Valentine’s Day shoots will look like for you.
Working in the Studio
The best part about the Valentine’s sessions is that they are created with children in mind. In the playful and comfortable atmosphere of the studio, your little explorers can just relax and be themselves. There is space for even the most wiggly of kids to move around, laugh, play, and snuggle. My goal is to capture the authentic beauty of children and family love, and the stress-free setting of the studio is the perfect place for that.
As with all my sessions, I will capture the candid moments as well as the prompted poses. I always have a few fun and silly prompts up my sleeve to keep the kids’ smiles bright and natural. My job is to guide you through positions that bring out the spontaneous joy between you and your kids, whether it’s big bear hugs, tickle fights, or making silly faces.
After the Session
When your session is over, I will carefully go through all of the photos we took and enhance the images to bring out the best of your kids’ smiles. It’s my top priority that the true essence of your little ones’ personalities shine through the photos.
I want you to be able to look back at these photos and see more than just holiday images. My goal as your photographer is to freeze the fleeting moments that you want to hold dear to your heart. I hope your photos will help you clearly remember the sweetness of your toddler’s snuggle and the energy of your five-year-old’s giggle.
Using Your Photos
These pictures we take during the Valentine’s sessions would make adorable seasonal decor that you can hang up during February.
